- Day 28 : Soulmates Never Die
When people say “Soulmates Never Die”, I first think of that Placebo line from Sleeping With Ghosts (“Soulmate dry your eye. Dry your eye. Soulmate dry your eye. Cause soulmates never die”).
In Leeds, it’s actually the name of Joshua Lewis’ musical project. I stumbled upon his work by looking at this video on Vimeo. Then I saw this acoustic session and I found it cool because the music is nice, and also because it was filmed in Ewan’s house.
People describe Joshua’s music as being “antifolk”. For me, it’s just a cool ginger hipster who plays guitar and sings with a strong accent. I like the character. It fits perfectly with the music.
